Crows in a wheat field, Vincent van Gogh. Made this in 1890, during the last weeks of his life. There has been a lot of speculation about what is depicted; associating it with his state of mind at that time. The dead end path and the crows are supposed to indicate the end of his life, thus attributing this painting as his last ever made. Still some say that “Boomwortels” actually is the last work of art he ever made. Whether true or not this painting is very gloom and dark and the speculations seem to make sense in that way.
